De Bas En Haut

A selection of graphic arts projects that scrolls the function of the image towards a particular practical application. This selection maintains an interest in understanding the aesthetics of design as a different opportunity that discovers new identities, creates other readings from an editorial perspective, proposes communicative visual experiences, and formalizes any speculation about the movement of color.

Si fa sol la mi la re do la

Si fa sol la mi la re do la is a set of notes that could very well be a song —if sung—.

It is also a cassette and a publication that serve as witnesses to the cycle carried out by Todobien in dialogue with MACA, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Alicante.

Misterioso objeto

Five artists sequentially create their works under the premise of an experimental recycling that inherits a fragment from the previous resident. They maintain a circularity that makes them participants in an exquisite corpse.

An endless visual identity for the cycle of artistic residencies developed at ACME Studio during 2022 and 2023. The project ‘concludes’ its cycle with a publication of the same title that reflects on the process of this Mysterious object.

Tejido ajado

Tejido ajado is an independent publishing house specializing in experimental writings –eccentric, difficult, radically committed to form or concept– which, due to their marginal nature, are barely represented in the publishing market. Writings in which the text approaches the text from the text, but also from outside the text: from the image, the sound, the structure, the object, the number, the body.

Within those contours, the visual identity refers to an inherent texture that interweaves the pages of its publications, or otherwise reads its images in any peripheral context, even on its online store: tejidoajado.xyz

Mira si he corregut terres

Publication by the artist Mar Reykjavik. Mira si he corregut terres expands, gathers, and concludes a research/action process on the shift from tradition to trend, framed within the uses of the body. All of this is captured from an oral testimony that is transcribed into text.

The publication is a step back in the process to recover the didactic or theoretical dimension from which it starts and to which it arrives. A step back that incorporates and is always forward-moving.
Designed from its performative dimension in mind, Mira Si He Corregut Terres is, or are, two books that interlock and also come apart.

Sheffield Doc—Fest

The archive itself behaves as a testimony endowed with a veracity imbued by each of the aesthetic features or traces of the document. The brand design proposed for Sheffield Doc–Fest relies on this aesthetic possibility to delve into the nature of its programming with curiosity.

The festival would address the contemporaneity of the document with its image, creating a hypermedia link between the contents and its context.

The project Between the lines, carried out in a kind of studio in collaboration with Ilan Serruya, was submitted for the redesign competition proposed by the documentary film festival.

LAV. Laboratorio Audiovisual de Creación y Práctica Contemporánea

Brand redesign for a laboratory that serves as a bridge between experimental cinema and the audiovisual of contemporary art, between the experimental cinema of festivals and the installed or performative cinema of galleries. LAV is a space to think about cinema.

A space with its own identity that required an update to its image to adapt to different contexts through posters, social media, or its website:  master-lav.com

Now, as a counterpoint, the laboratory seal is applied unpredictable. Meanwhile, the new design ensures color coherence, making it easier to visually differentiate between the sessions of various courses, workshops, and the master’s program in each edition.

Tot i que

The Valencian expression "tot i que" translates to "all and what" but also as "even so".

A – SO —— KO

An audiovisual studio that develops strategies and projects aiming to materialize incoming ideas, proposals, and intuitions.

The brand design shifts its name, of Japanese origin, toward that "there" which defines it.
A commitment to the graphic coexistence of a multilingual architecture and its images, which also expand through a bright marked yellow. The visual identity highlights all its communication channels, such as the website for its projects: asoko-studio.com

Asoko inhabits image, sound and space.
It’s here, there and in between.

Una casa. Festival de Cine en Primera Persona

The Una Casa (A House) festival is a space for meeting, creation, and research around artistic forms that stem from a self-referential impulse and fall within the tradition of documentary and experimental cinema. In its fourth edition, under the title Home, the festival reconstructs its programming with an expansion that involves a redesign of its image to better accommodate its new communicative needs.
This initiative is built on some essential elements for the festival, such as the windows that open up its films, but also the distinct roof tile red that shelters those who inhabit this meeting space. Additionally, the design incorporates images from a home Super8 film across all media, featuring the participation of Jorge Suárez-Quiñones, who filmed the opening sequence for the screenings.

The visual identity of Una Casa, which includes posters, website, videos, or publications such as Home and Primeras películas, among other communication purposes, has been developed in collaboration with Ilan Serruya.
